The Institute represents Caribbean board members
And aims to equip its members with the specialized knowledge in corporate governance and related issues that affect the quality of their key decisions (especially long-term strategy), the safeguarding of assets and the working relationships among board members, seniors managers and selected stakeholders. The Institute promotes cooperation and awareness on corporate governance matters through various training programs, international & national conferences, and a wide range of publications. The CIoD’s membership spans the whole range of directors, from large public companies to small private firms, cooperatives, foundations and government agencies. Major governance professionals and other stakeholders in the Caribbean business community have also joined CIoD as associate members in order to network, exchange ideas and promote the best practices in corporate governance throughout the Region.
