About Us

The Caribbean Institute of Directors (CIoD)

Is a professional body that exists to promote excellence in corporate governance and to maintain and enhance the credibility of directorship as a profession.

It is the first professional network for executive and non-executive directors operating throughout the Caribbean. Our online platform (CIoD) is a privatized social network for like minded business professionals to network, explore ideas and share thought provoking insight in governance and the current markets.

The Institute represents Caribbean board members

And aims to equip its members with the specialized knowledge in corporate governance and related issues that affect the quality of their key decisions (especially long-term strategy), the safeguarding of assets and the working relationships among board members, seniors managers and selected stakeholders. The Institute promotes cooperation and awareness on corporate governance matters through various training programs, international & national conferences, and a wide range of publications.

The CIoD’s membership spans the whole range of directors, from large public companies to small private firms, cooperatives, foundations and government agencies.
